Commercials are not on my daily diet, but there a few really good ones. This one here is a masterpiece. Watch it and find out how commercials can be paradox and truely meaningfull at the same time, and who could be a better icon than Frank Zappa, proven master of ambiguity, to transmit a message of a company that wants to sell less of its product? If you like to see more commercials with famous musicians and other artists we have a few on our site: Watch videos of Adrian Belew from King Crimson in a japanese tv spot imitating animal sounds with his guitar, or Jimi Hendrix at the age of 11 choosing beween Pepsi Cola and Coca-Cola. |

| Young folks know Steve Vai better than Frank Zappa. Listen to what Steve tells about his audition for Frank Zappa. Sounds like he couldn't cope with Frank's requirements ... lol. | |
| Zappa is a funny person, so after all he decided to give Steve Vai a chance to prove his abilities on stage. (Would have been a real waste of talent if Steve would have followed Frank's suggestion to play with Linda Ronstadt.) Watch this video of Steve Vai playing together with Frank Zappa. It's amazing how much can be told in a single peace of music. I perceive a great deal of communication between the two guitar players. What do you think? For people familiar with the music of Jimi Hendrix we recommend to listen especially to the part beginning around the fifth minute of the videoclip. | |
While Frank Zappa's music was quiet unknown and only accepted by a few freaks when his first records appeared on the market, nowadays it's being listened to by an ever growing audience and played in cover versions by many bands an individuals all around the world. Watch the videoclip and listen to a brass band playing Frank Zappa's beautifull waltz called 'Sofa'.
